Default Re: What advice would you give to someone recently playing for a living?

When I went pro, I had 2 bad months to start with. Partly because money suddenly means something and u get a bit weak but mostly because u are not used to play long hours and dont have a good way of dealing with this. You play for 5 hours and runs bad, go out with your friend and drink 999 beers and come home and play for 4 hours more running bad... things like that.

Most advice I read in this thread are really important. Have savings in bank that u can reload with. Be prepared to not withdraw anything for 2 months. Excercise your body... etc... all good things to remember but really hard to do.

By the way, it was 2.5y since I went pro and I still make more money on poker then on my regular job (that I didnt have when I went pro - but man, playing poker each day really isnt a healthy way of living...)
