I don't imagine he was thinking of staying in the dorms or anything. There are lots of places in the mountains around there to just chill (literally this time of year). If you happen to go, you have to check out Sherpa's in boulder. It's a nepalese restaurant owned by a real sherpa/mountain climbing guide.
