Default Re: VH1\'s \"The Pick up Artist\"

I agree just a little bit with brinks. Yes, literally any first sentence that starts with "I need a female opinion on something..." in a club was already perceived by a woman as your attempt to pick them up. It's just more original/interesting than "hey ladies" or "can I buy you a drink".

Girls who have seen the show will probably hear alarm bells if you use that precise intro language - and now you've ceased to be different. So, merely substituting what you need an opinion on probably isn't going to cut it. While the line may be blown out among those who know of the show, being different and interesting will never be blown out. And, "can I buy you a drink" unless you're a stud, will always be lame. Just find different openers, or reword the opinion one to not trip the VH1 PUA alarm. No big deal. Or, use the stuff from the show, and just deal with being called out probably not all that commonly for it.
