see Butch Davis--he stole one of the top wideouts in the nation from ND with that much time (UNC was not a factor beforehand) and got a great DT from the DC area, perhaps the best DT among high school seniors.

it could've been and would've been better--he is the head coach at NOTRE DAME...one or two personal visits would've made a world of difference. Looking at his last two classes, it seems he can pull in some guys.

not top 10 or anything, but there could've been an impact player or two and more guys that could develop into being competitive players.


I'm not saying he made the wrong decision in staying with the PATS full-time. It was a very difficult spot.

I'm just saying he chose one way and it worked out for that franchise. However, it has hurt him in his new job. To pass the blame for that class solely onto Willingham is not right.
