a handful of people FIGURATIVELY means "a number less than 5" (or generally "a small amount"). FIGURATIVELY is an antonym of LITERALLY. when you use the word LITERALLY before you say something, you're saying "i'm not meaning this FIGURATIVELY."

so when you say "LITERALLY, a handful of people" you're saying: "a hanful of people -- AND I DONT MEAN A FEW PEOPLE, LIKE I WOULD IF I MEANT IT FIGURATIVELY, I MEAN AN AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT FITS IN A HAND.

the problem is that you don't STILL know what literally means, despite my many attempts to explain it to you.
