That's pretty common Survivor strategy - keep the horse to get you to the merge then cut them loose asap before they win 10 consecutive challenges and leave everyone in their dust (like Colby in season 2 who likely wins if he doesn't have a braincramp at the end). Unless Gravedigger develops some social skills and forms a tight alliance he doesn't stand much of a chance.
