No, he was applauded because Bolinger was completely out of line in bashing him before he even got to speak, calling him a "cruel dictator." Ahmadenijad had a nice response basically saying that you shouldn't invite someone to speak and then bash him before he even gets to speak. I thought that he did admit that the Holocaust happened in Europe during his speech. He was saying that we shouldn't stop researching it. Even if he denies the Holocaust happened is it a reason to go to war? Is he a bad guy? Maybe. But there's no reason to go to war with Iran because he's a bad guy. We support other dictators in the Middle East and do nothing!
