Only reason to bet a lower amount would be it might look stronger to some people.

If you fold in that spot you're terrible, even if it WERE a -ev call which means you never have more than 3 outs its still the right call for future tournaments alone, putting 70% of your stack in with the intention of folding when you get 8 to 1 is ridiculously exploitable by anybody with a pulse.
