FWIW, Danielle is my aff manager too, and while she's a sweetheart and knows a lot of affiliate stuff, I do not think that she has much access to / say in gameplay stuff -- the preceding is just my opinion from my previous dealings with her.
I would not put the "official AP statement" stamp on what she wrote.
