What has worked for me a couple of times is to log off Party and then fire it up again. I am then transported to some of my old tables and can thus leave the table via the "Leave table" button and not the "close window" X.
Try to do a player search after yourself and see if you are still on a table. Then you can probably go to that table without having to log off first.
