Really!? I love that scene! It shows Marty cares about being creative even in the spots where it isn't a necessity. Whether or not you liked it, you have to admit it was outside-the-box. He swung for the fences, I guess, and some people will hate it and some will love it. At the very least, it takes nothing away from the film as a whole, so I think it's an OK risk.
