In my experience, it's not the trashiness of WalMart that make people hate it (even if it's an accusation that comes up a lot), it's what they view as Wal-Mart's lack of corporate responsibility (whatever that is). Wal-mart pays workers crappy, treats them bad, uses unethical foreign labor markets, contributes to ugly urban sprawl, runs the local mom and pop out of business, etc.

Pretty sure it's the exact opposite. People champion all these causes about the "common worker" when really they just don't want to been seen as a poor person.
