Is this rhetorical? Hmmm, well, it's an answer thread so you'll get one anyway, lol.

I really only like surrounding myself with people who I can connect with on an emotional level. Not all the time, but at least some of the time. This goes for men and women. The male friends I have who don't connect on any deeper level I often will simply see in passing and not be fired up at all if they want to hang out.

For women it's a bit more complicated b/c I can have friends who I'm not interested in sexually...but it's generally somewhat boring for some reason. I think I'm still conditioned, so that if I want to spend one on one time with a woman, I have to be interested in the whole package to some degree.

I really seem incapable of doing one night stands. It's simply really hard to keep me interested purely based on a physical attraction and most women are awful at actually seducing a man outside of wearing hotter outfits, giggling a lot. As soon as they try to bait me it ends up being sort of "pathetic" to some degree which is a turn off.

I also think I have some deeply rooted things I've never been able to locate/eradicate which holds me back from not demanding a "romantic" sexual relationship.
