Life isn't fair.
You really need to get over your idealistic view of justice in society. Judge each case in it's own merits and meet out punishment accordingly. You shouldn't base your opinions about the punishments people receive based on whether or not somebody else got away with something and you (or Vick in this case) didn't. That's what children do. Grow up and realize that the real world doesn't work that way regardless of how much you might want it to.

No, thanks. If I see something I think is unjust, I'll speak up about it, even though I realize "life isn't fair."
And by the way, the U.S. justice system is based not on evalutating each case on "it's [sic] own merits," but on the relative severity of the crime. You get a longer jail term for rape than you do for theft, longer still for murder, etc. Therefore, it is absolutely relevant to bring up criminals who received lighter sentences for more serious crimes.
