Default Re: iWitness

I have had some issues here -- sometimes (not always) iWitness freezes, and I've suspected ProcessGuard. I'm toying with it to see if I can clarify.

Make sure iWitness is given full rights to do whatever it wants to minize problems. . . the problem may actually be ProcessGuard conflicting with something ELSE in your system.

Try this: with all apps off, put Process Guard in "learning mode." Restart and do something which uses your net connection (not Party, but something you know is safe; do some MusicFileSharing downloads or something) for an hour or so. Then reboot again. After that, take ProcessGuard out of learning mode.

If there's some (safe) application that runs after 15 minutes on the net or something, ProcessGuard will learn what it is and allow it to work. (If you ran Party during this time, it would learn to allow Party to do the nasty!) If your lockup is caused by something else running which PG prevents (like something which is supposed to stop your net connection from timing out), this should solve it.

Come to think of it, you might be able to spot the problem by poring over the ProcessGuard logs after a lock-up; see if something go blocked?
