Default Re: 8-3-07 Horseshoe-Bossier City Trip report

Since Lanlord hasn't seen this yet, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I don't play $1/2 so he'll have to answer about the wait for that game, but for $4/8 the wait is usually less than 10-15 minutes max. Usually it's a quick 5 minutes or so. The Horseshoe is also very good about starting a new table as soon as they have enough people for it on the list.

As for the other poker rooms in Shreveport/Bossier, the only option is the Eldorado right across the river. I know that Lanlord and BJJIII aren't fans of it, but I enjoy it as a nice change to the scenery at the Shoe. They have a nice big room and a TON of action. I went over there a few weeks ago and the waiting list for both $1/2 and $4/8 were OVER 35 people deep! Say what you want, but with that many people in one room on a busy weekend, there is going to be some great donkey action. The wait was actually well worth it and my 3 buddies and myself all pulled in some nice profits at both $1/2 and $4/8. I like the Shoe and their $1/hr food comps for poker players, but I also like to go where the best action is, and I feel that it can sometimes change from day to day. In my opinion, both rooms have positives and negatives.
