i have a lot of respect for you for putting in the time and not charging (yet anyway) for your hard work.
[/ QUOTE ]Seems unlikely he'll try charging later. For one thing, this has become such a moral debate, it'd be a stretch for Juk to say "I've abandonded my faith. Gimme $50."

Yes, I can say pretty much categorically I won't be charging for this or anything else. My background is CompSci+AI, and the nearest I ever got to commercial programming is working in academia on AI projects sponsored by corporations (even this went against the grain for me and I eventually left and went into teaching).
I don't think any of the little projects I have shared here have taken much more than a couple of days to code up, and I think all the info I read here on 2+2 has helped me alot more and saved me much more time than the projects took themselves!
I don't post often in any of the strategy forums, but I did lurk for along time. Hopefully this repays the info people have shared here with me, as they too haven't done so for gain, but for the same reasons as I have shared my projects. Hopefully my philosophy might rub off on a few others and more free projects will start up in future.

For another, he already released the source.

Yep, I can't really see any way this source can be misused badly, and if I can I will always give away the source in the hope that somebody may improve on it. The DollarToBB thing is a bit different, as this could be misused possibly to make 'nasties'. Also this project is clearly 'grey' and it may very well get banned/blocked eventually, and not releasing the source won't change this fact, whereas keeping the DollarToBB stuff closed increases the chance of the project staying alive!
