Default Re: The negative stigma against slowrolling- I don\'t get it.

[ QUOTE ]
Why is it OK to try to tilt people through other means, (retarded chat, screen names that make light of things like the holocaust, 9/11 and so on etc) but it is not OK to slowroll people? Isn't this just the greatest way to tilt someone?

As long as the intent is to anger someone, why does it matter in what fashion it is accomplished?

(I don't slowroll, try to tilt people through chat, or have an offensive screen name)

Because slowrolling is inherently showing up the other dude whereas retarted chat/offensive screen names don't have that characteristic.

Retarted chat to try to tilt someone like "ZOMG YOU SUCK... FISH. CMON FISHY, PLAY SOME MORE PLZ" doesn't really attack a person's pride in the same way slowrolling does.

Slowrolling is all about ego. It's like the loser of the hand is saying "OMG, not only did you win the hand, but you forced me to sit here agonizing my bluff shove on the river and you squeezed out every ounce of drama out of me with the best possible hand. You tricked me. Bastard."

Slowrolling has a different vibe that just cuts deeper than loudmouth idiot donk chat.
