I don't understand any of the discussion in regards to the king. Why would the king slow down anything he has? Is he supposed to think you peeled AK after being CRed? I can't think of any hand where it's logical for him to be scared of the king.

If anything, you should be more scared of the king than him, because he might have been bluffing overs, whilst you are unlikely to be 'bluff calling' AK/KQ/KJ.
