A realistic movie about a gang trying to get home through enemy territory in LA definitely could be good. But it would be a very different movie IMO.

Oh I know it would be a completely different movie. I never said it would be a faithful remake of the original. But the basic 'Warriors' premise of 'gang trying to get through other-gang infested waters' would be the same, and it could be very good.
