You're welcome to take on the big scores. While you're dragging the occasional 25-30BB pot, i'll chip away at the regular 5-7BB pots and we'll see who gets richer first.

Since you want to claim it's a "naff example" - perhaps you might want to check that the passage in Super System that you are referring to is in the No-Limit Holdem section of the book.
Yes, you have a much higher chance of scooping 100% of your small pots in No-Limit. You can bet the pot. When you can only bet 1/7th or 1/8th of these pots in limit play, I find it nearly impossible to believe that you have a showdown percentage anywhere NEAR 100%.
Of course, Ed Miller's only a 2+2 author, what the hell does he know, right?
