My first experience with Wilco was with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. While I liked some of the songs, I thought it was too weird. Some months later I listened to Summerteeth and was floored. I had, up to that point, never been a fan of anything remotely country, and I'd never even heard "alt-country." It was amazing.

It wasn't long before I returned to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. My musical tastes had evolved and it was now one of the best things I've ever heard.

Interestingly enough, the same thing happened to music like Radiohead, Bob Dylan, and Neutral Milk Hotel.
