Default Re: SNG Sat. to advance to MTT...strategy for initial table?

[ QUOTE ]
That's exactly what it is. So I'm thinking I try to play a lot of hands cheap (limp) and pound the flops that I catch a monster on as people will call all-ins with even top pair-no kicker. And if I have big pairs try to isolate 1 player at all costs. I don't suspect there will be a lot of complex post flop play until the first level is over. As mentioned, I think many of these people will try to gambool and gladly either double up or go home (get to the crap table) right away.

From my experience playing sit and goes (note: its been years since I made a living off of SNGs) your strategy should be the exact opposite of what you posted.

You should probably play pocket pairs and AK in early levels and dump them when you miss and v-bet when you hit. This is because the bubble will last so long and the blinds will be so high near the bubble that an early chiplead will be essentially meaningless; all you want to do is survive the early levels.

When you get to later levels you should pushbot.

You should probably repost this in the STT forum when you get the structure. You should also probably read the stickies in the STT forum.
