I don’t follow the poker world gossip much, but I thought Sam had a lot of money from something outside of poker and was a breakeven (loser??) at high stakes, and played because he enjoys gambling. If that is the case then he didnt get his money from people staking him. Maybe I am way off there and should spend more time reading NVG to stay up on other peoples lives.
