Gary, ignore the haters, i think its a relief that one of Newhouse's friends is actually trying to do something to help him. I think both a life coach and money manager are a good idea.

If you go with the holiday idea let me suggest something that I once did that was wonderful. You can take a week's (or longer) camping trip in the Grand Canyon where you go white water rafting along the Colorado river. This is an amazing way to get away from everything and clear your mind, and it's also an incredible rush and great fun. Plus nothing puts things in perspective better than sleeping under the stars and watching the sunset on the Grand Canyon walls.
