Signing bonus doesn't count as part of that, b/c it is a one time thing that gets people moved in.
You may know more than me, j/w if it was I-Banking making bigger bonuses and if so which banks and desks? I have heard the Energy Desk of JP Morgan in Houston had huge bonuses last year, but that is not NYC.
