Default Re: Well, Florida, how did the first day of NL/$5limit games treat you

My 3 sessions.... +5, +287, -450. The last session just started off with overall bad karma, as I drove out to Brighton (game wasn't started yet), then went another 90 minutes down to Hard Rock and got there just as they lowered everything back to $100 max. Within the first hour, I picked up AA then got bluffed off it on the river when there was a str8, a flush on board and the guy was calling me on flop then checking dark like he had a set or draw. Then that hand tilted me, I didn't wanna get "run over" anymore and called off most of my losses with top pair with one lower kick, or would call an all-in after flop of 3 rags with JJ v QQ. The $100 short stack structure really got into my head, as I'm used to playing with $200-$300 stacks. So I was "stuck" at the Hard Rock after an entire day of preparing to play poker and driving. It's now after midnight and I'm tired and chasing. Plus, the game constantly had to be stopped for dealer issues or this one dude lost $100 that he finally found tucked under the pad (sort of accusing the guy who just sat down next to him). One of those nights of "bad vibes" Probably should of just left somewhere in between and I excersised poor money management.

Bottom line...I was at a table with 3-4 aggressive players and with my style I need to be the aggressor. Instead I became a caller. It wasn't so much playing marginal hands (although I maybe played some drawing hands when implied odds weren't there). At these tables, with the stacks the way they were, I made few hundred dollars of calls that I shouldn't have after the flop which adds up to a lot over a session. Plus, the cards went totally dead the last 6 hours.

That was my worst session to date live out of about 25.
