I think people are letting their hatred of six year old kids cloud their opinions. People, this has very little to do with the kid, and more to do with the fact that one of the restaurant employees promised something to one of their customers, and then acted all douchy later when they reneged on the promise.

Whether or not you hate kids, or hate restaurants that have their waiters sing to their patrons, is completely irrelevant to what the OP is complaining about.
