Default Re: People who buy bottled water are fish at life.

Bottled water is a joke to people who know what they're talking about.

That's just not true. There are many differences in bottled water. Many of them are just municipal water. Many of them are just municipal water ran through carbon filtration, which just removes tastes, odors, chlorine sometimes lead and so forth. Then, you can move on to reverse osmosis water and so forth. There are some very high quality waters like Aquafina for example. Making tea or coffee with just about anyone here's tap water and aquafina water will show the difference immediately. For those of you just lumping all bottled waters together, that's a stupid mistake. For example, most of you probably have better city water out of your taps than Evian water. They're not all created equal. I don't do bottled water or the 5 gallon jugs; however, I do have a Reverse Osmosis system in my house. I have city water. I'd have that for city water or well water.

Well Water: A straw in the hole in the ground tapped into an aquifer that's flowing from God knows where. If I poured your orange juice in the dirt and let it run through the ground into your plumbing, how excited would you be to drink it in the morning?

City Water: Sure, they have to have it meet certain criteria that, imo, is not strict enough for drinking purposes. But hey, like 0.5% of the water they make is used for consumption anyway. It's not cost effective or logical to treat it for consumption. And, they measure on averages for the day. So, the water might be over a Contaminant level in the a.m. but you test 4 more times in the day and the average goes down, you're ok. Furthermore, they're testing in the facility. How about going through all the 100 year old pipes for miles to get to your house? there's one town about 30 minutes from me that still has wooden city water pipes that are rotten all to crap loses millions of gallons a month. You ever see a city water main break? Looks like crap. How about I go down the street a couple miles, throw in a noodle, let it run through all those crappy pipes, go through your mucked up plumbing and through your crappy aerator on your faucet and have you eat it?

Whatever. It's not for me. I treat my drinking water. It takes better to me. Coffee and Tea don't even compare when made with better what. Peace of Mind....etc, etc.

You can get yourself a simple TDS meter and see the differences in the bottles of water. I wish the people that always run their mouth about it would do this.
