Re: Well, Florida, how did the first day of NL/$5limit games treat you
I played for the first time today, since the law changed and I had never been happier loosing $80.00
I had just two hours in between work and couldn't slide to the ATM , trying to keep the cash on the down low with the wife.
So I buy in for 80 and sit for probably 45 mins. I buy two easy pots and fold AK after a 12 dollar raise and miss on the flop.
So after 45 mins I have 68 left and I am big blind for 2
the guy rigth before the button calls two the button checks (At PBKC, the got 2 bucks on the button) the small blind puts in a dollar and its my option. I looked down and see JJ.
Now the button has about 550 and the small blind has been bragging for 45 mins how he won 9700 the other night in the tourney and is just killing time. Five minutes earlier he said he had to go and said he would play loose for his last 100. The third caller I had not much info on.
So I raise 10 to make it 12 to go. All players call the 10 extra
Flop
532 Rainbow.
Small blind pushes for 85. I got 56 left and since I am almost 10000% positive that SB has Ax and might have one pair and a gut shot at most I push also. the guy before the button instantly folds. The Button who was big time chip leader says to me "I should fold, I know I am beat, but since he(SB) is just throwing dead money out there I will call.
Button shows 24x
SB shows A9x
I show JJ
Board 532 Turn 7 River 2
Trip 2's take the pot. I don't even get mad. I just smiled and told myself I will make it back ten fold next time, I just didn't have the cash with me today. If play stays like this I look for PBCK to be a second income for me.
Oh and for all you guys that want to count Buttons out I did it already
three A's he can't count four he has to put at least one of us on an A
4 6's
2 2's
2 4's
so 11 times 4 = 44%.
I however feel he had no clue he was that strong. He seemed like a complete rookie. He looked at each card when he received it and never scanned the table.
