Reciprocality is a poker-specific adaptation of a very fundamental concept, but one that is quite often overlooked in poker, and in life:
Essentially it's that the more creative mind will emerge ahead in the long-run.
We can look at reciprocality as the coincidence of the two most important theoretical constructs of poker:
Theorem 1: creativity ultimately trumps mechanistic thinking
Theorem 2: Sklansky's fundamental theorem of poker (FTOP): any time a player plays a hand differently than it should be played if the opponent's cards were visible, the player loses value (as measured against the theoretical maximum value of the hand if it were played probabalistically optimally with opponent's cards known at all times)
Reciprocality is the application of creativity to induce an opponent into making plays that move the opponent further and further to the wrong side of FTOP.
