If poker rooms didn't make substantially more from this method of depositing than they lose as a result of fraud, then why would they continue to offer the option? I would argue that these frauds have little to do with the cost of poker being higher, which is more to do with greed and how much they can get away with charging. The cost of poker will continue to rise, until the point we cry uncle, there is a very easy way to erradicate 100% of these frauds, but poker sites have no appetite for doing so, because it would cost them more money than maintaining the current status quo.
