If an innocent person is accused of a crime, they:

A) Hire a lawyer
B) If they can't afford one, have one appointed for them
C) Are tried by a jury
D) May later appeal their conviction/sentence if it was unfair
E) May appeal to the public for support, ie: through the media
F) Any police, attoneys, etc, who behaved improperly may be subject to repercussions including criminal sanctions

There is a system of checks and balances in place. It doesn't work 100%, but at least the system tries to give the accused a fair shake.

If an innocent person is accused of a cheating on a poker site, they:

A) Email/phone/fax the site
B) Post on boards like these

And that's it.

Players have no real recourse! There is no system of checks and balances, players do not have the right to an appeal nor to any representation whatsover.

Do you really think poker sites are going to get it right 100% of the time? Are you high? Half the posts in this forum are poker sites screwing up in some way or another! You really want them to have the right to arbitrarily seize anybody's funds at any time for any reason?
