Re: Official JUNE uNL **\'`MICROBREW THREAD`\'** LC/NC this way...
here's what i do (i did this yesterday for about 3 hours for example)
i go through all the hands where the pot is greater than 40bb in game notes (or if you have Poker EV, then that's better - filter and use the Replayer)
now, in the hands i lost, i look for trends. the trend i always see (in hands i lost) is that i am raised (or minraised) where i am holding one pair. or opponent leads into me on river when draw gets there, etc.
then, i look at the hands i won and see if there any trends. the trend i see is that my opponents are check/calling all the way. also, my hand tends to be more disguised or I outkick my opponent. i rarely see this: me PFR, flop is Kxx, i bet/they call to river with 44. because they put pfr on AK at least usually. so, it's more like i have JJ on J26 or AA on T48 or whatever.
then i look at pots where i c-bet and fold to a raise, or c-bet and opponent calls, etc. basically, where i end up folding with nothing. the trend i see there is flop texture. like i raise from CO with ATo and flop is 67J or with 55 and flop is QJ8. c-bets get called/raised alot in these spots. so i might check more, rather than c-bet.
this type of review has some biases of course, but you'll see trends i think (and hopefully that's not being results oriented). the main trend i see is that there is very little bluff-raising at the micros or raising with one pairs that are not overpairs (though the they might raise with say a pair of queens to protect against the turn bringing an A or K).
