Default Re: Skydiving - Trip Report

Great report and great pics.

I did this years ago before they had tandem jumping. Jumped out with a line attached to the plane called a static line. They gave you a litle training on how to land and how to steer the chute and what to do if your main chute didnt open which was basically kiss your ass goodbye.

I did static line as well. I was fine with that, even though it means you only get like a second of freefall, because I figured if I was going to jump out of a plane I was going to do it on my own -- no instructor attached to me.

I don't regret it at all. We went from 4,000 feet, which sounds crappy compared to 10,000 (our other option). But trust me -- if it's your first time, once you get up on the plane, 4,000 feet might as well be 10 miles high.

It's a blast. I highly recommend it. Even if you land on your ass and skid for 100 feet like I did.
