Men for sure look dumb like this. It's like having your ball cap sideways. It just has some kind of a 'look how stupid I am' association in my brain.

For women it works if they have a stupendous midsection that curves out nicely at the hips. If you are less than perfect it just makes you look fat. People seem not to understand that most fashions are meant to emphasize some aspect of your physique. You don't want to be emphasizing your poorest features.
