Live 15/30, 9 handed at my local 7 table card room.

Only 1 15/30 table tonight (Sat.) - table is unusually passive with lots of limping and calling. Lots of action, most hands are at minimum 4 handed but usually 5 or 6.

Several questions here: Who agrees with the pre-flop call? Do you gas the flop or wait for the turn? Do you try and get tricky from the turn on, or play it straight-forward?

Seat 4 - Paul calls because that what he does. He's the most passive cold calling bad player at this level - but he usually runs good and catches all kinds of crap. He's running good tonight and up.
Seat 5 calls - LAG and bluffs a lot for this game
Seat 6 calls - weak, passive
Seat 7 calls
Seat 8 raises - this could be a lot of stuff but is likely a big suited ace or Q,Q+
Hero, Seat 9 cold calls 2 with 3,3. Love it or hate it? I figured at least BB calls and everyone else is calling for sure so I almost have odds to catch my set. Implied odds are good I think if I do. Yes?
Seat 1 SB calls - he is probably the best player at the table - solid and tricky, and aggressive, hard to put on a hand.
Seat 2 BB calls - don't have a good read yet on this guy (relatively new to me) but seems TAG and is very aggressive for this table/

Everyone calls and we have 8 to the flop for 16 small bets (minus rake)

Bingo, I got lucky and hit my set. Gas now or wait for the turn? I took a wait and see attitude depending upon action. In this game I'm not blowing anyone off of the flush draw and otherwise the board isn't draw heavy.

SB checks, BB bets, Paul calls, Seat 6 calls, Seat 7 calls, Seat 8 (raiser) calls, I raise.
I didn't expect this many callers and was surprised Raiser didn't raise. I thought it was a good time to get the money with a draw equal to flush draw and ahead right now.

SB calls, BB raises, Paul folds, folds to seat 8 who calls, I cap (4 bet max.), all remaining call.

4 to the turn for a mega tonne of small bets.

OK turned the house. The way the action is I can see SB as having a small to medium ace, BB the flush draw and Raiser another (big) ace. My house isn't bullet proof here.

Checks to me and I bet. Does anyone try to get tricky here and check through? I keep in mind CDC's advice - " I bet, because they like to call ". The only reason the check would be to get more bets on the river, but there's no guarantee of that.

So there are lots of different ways to play this. I felt that I played it pretty straight-forward. Who plays this differently?
