Actually, I think you are the one not putting things into proper perspective. The Yanks have been very hot, but they are still behind in the standings. How can you just discount the terrible beginning of the season?

ok, obviously the yankees won't be a .925 team for the whole season, but they have proven that they can be a great team this year, which was unproven when they were 11-18 or whatnot. huge difference. the fact is, i was sitting around when we were getting swept by the drays and saying "man, maybe we are terrible and the season is a waste". now, no one is saying that. the yankees have proven they can play great, which not everyone was sure of.

They've shown they can play .300 baseball just as much as they have shown they can play .800 baseball so making any claim either way is idiotic. They are a solid team but I will still be surprised if they make the playoffs since their division is so tough overall.
