Nice story, though. Every story I've ever heard about Rice playing golf is, "He can hit that ball a mile."

Too bad his baseball swing looked more like a golf swing in his later years, or he'd be in Cooperstown by now.

I'm not sure how big a sox fan he is but yeah I was busting his balls about that too. As for Rice, I think it was his eyesight that did him in at the end of his career. He played around with wearing glasses but it wasn't working as I recall.

Perhaps we could say "if Lasik was discovered 20 years earlier Rice would be in the HOF".
