I think we should worry less about "fixing" and micromanaging things so much. This tendency gets at its worst when we even start talking about killing our successes! That's truly perverse, and looks to me like the kind of thinking that won't be satisfied until it sinks this ship.
You guys need thicker skins. Don't go overreacting to every little thing that comes along. It becomes easy to take your own successes as background noise and therefore give only your doubts and open questions any credence. But that makes you perpetually hyperactive and vulnerable to any criticism no matter its worth. You wind up full of self-doubt, never satisfied, and just plain hapless.
