Re: Preflop: On the Button Against A Raise (Pokerstars $11 Deep Stack)
Hi,
thanks for the answers.
I really considered two possibilities:

[*] Substantial reraise to 2000
It has all the advantages which Akeshish outlined. But it has in my view a serious flaw: After such a reraise i have only 1700t left. The pot is 150+500+2000= 2650t. So i would be already pot committed. So i would have to push on the flop, whether i hit the flop or not. [*] Push
(see beneath
The hand unfolded as follows:
Hero raises to t3807 (all-in), 2 folds, UTG+1 calls t3307.
Flop: (t7764) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Turn: (t7764) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
River: (t7764) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Final Pot: t7764
Results:
UTG+1 has Ac Ad (two pair, aces and queens).
Hero has As Kd (two pair, queens and sevens).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins t7764.
Two things about the hand bother me:

[*] Is it worthwile to risk all chips in this situation (competitive chip stack!) in the second hour of a Deep Stack tourney?[*] Should i have taken more attention to the low preflop raise rate of my opponent? In the aftermath it's pretty clear he has the bullets or the cowboys...
What do you think about it?
