Default Re: Sklansky/Brandi stuff . . . Am I just an old fuddy-duddy?

One big fact that no one seems to want to look in the face is that fame now is rarely based on anything good or wholesome. If you're looking for that level of fame without ever doing anything "questionable", well... the odds of that happening are pretty low.
If Sklansky wants hits on his website, this is imho the easiest and smartest way to achieve that goal. It may mean selling out some ethics. Is that such a punishable offense in this day and age? It seems like everyone is doing it, openly or not. And are all the poker players on this forum really the highest judges of ethics anyway? I'm sure many of us have done things we are not 100% proud of, but for a larger more selfish reason. That is human nature.

Also, I'm not sure what the point is in berating him for his friendship with Brandi.. Do any of you really think you can convince a smart, confident man to stop being friends with someone based on your opinions? Although I don't know the man myself, I'm relatively certain he will make up his own mind about Brandi, as a reasonable adult who can form his own opinions.
The only thing I could say on their relationship is that I hope he is imparting other wisdom to Brandi besides poker smarts alone. If evidence of Sklansky's guidance manifests itself over the summer, I hope there will be more to see in growth than just cards.
And if anything is tasteless on this website, its the empty responses posted by people with not enough information to make those judgements.
