It sure looks like you are way behind. There is a large range of holdings that beat you.

His pre-flop re-raise tells me that he's fairly strong, with PP (likely higher than yours)or ace suited with a high card. Capping there will not induce a fold. I'd rather see a cheap flop with low pocket pairs.

You didn't improve on the flop. His bet there could be a semi-bluff, but I would have folded right there. When he calls your raise, it tells me that he really likes his chances.

His check-raise on the turn is a clear indication that you are beat. You might river bottom set, but it sure looks like a loser if you do.

Well timed aggression is key to winning, but in this case I think you need to ait for a better spot.
