Basically, Andy got the pros into a game so rich the pros were pretty much taking a shot. The pros got a little greedy, knowingly violated rules of bankroll management, and Beal nearly broke them.

Sure, Ivey is great but a bigger bankroll can overcome skill. If Ivey has enough money behind him (like 10's of millions) then he can take Beal for a huge amount but if Beal keeps raising the stakes to the point that it changes Ivey's game, Beal has a shot to win even though Ivey is clearly the better player.

the problem with this line of thought is that the money does not come from Ivey or anyone else in particular, it's a combination of pros risking probably less then they would playing eachother for 4k-8k.
