My name references the 74'th element, known as Tungsten to you yanks.
I got it in high school because:
a) We where in chemistry class, and it came up that the element with the highes boiling point is Wolfram.
b) My friends had been teasing me, and I was steaming a bit.
c) My last name sounds vaguely German.
It stuck. My classmates used it for the rest of high-school, and even made a "cute" version (which the girls used mostly)... "Wolfie". Later I started using it for all things internet related.
