I guess you can post whatever you want when you own the website, even fluff like this. I'm sure most posters on here understand the huge financial swings the top players subject themselves to at the stakes they play for, and that many posters may be privy to the financial status of some of the top pros, but most of these posters have respect for the pros who may be on a downswing so as not to appear like they're "piling on," which is more than I can say for Mr. Sklansky.
While Mr. Sklansky may be trying to make a point that is well taken, to me his post comes off as a cheap shot and an attempt to stir the gossip pot where absolutely nothing can be gained by suggesting players' names under the guise of saying he can't mention them. These insinuations without substantiation take NVG to a new low, and even if Mr. Sklansky's claims about certain poker players being broke are correct, I would expect a man of his reputation and stature to refrain from posting any such information as a matter of professional courtesy.
Also, add my name to those who appreciated Jason Strasser's well written post.
