Re: ** Official June Chat Thread: The Flush **
please don't talk about how soft the nl200 tables are. I'm still in nl25 hell after busto, and miss those lovely tables..
I am however having fun trying different styles for different sessions. I've tried all sorts from lag to abc tag. Did a stint with Renton's FTR guidelines, which went okay.
I've found the most profitable session so far at nl25 to be something akin to set-mining with extras.
Raise the usual 4x + 1 per limper with the following:
Early: AA-99, AK, AQs
middle: add in AQ, AJs, KQs
late: AT, KQ, KJs
Call with 88-22 if any limpers in front and loose table, else raise with these hands too.
call standard raises with any PP, AK, AQs
If 2+ limpers, also limp with SC/SG. If 3+ limpers, also add Axs
Sometimes raise with ATC from late if first in on tight tables.
I thought this would be the lowest-return, lowest variance but it seems to be very profitable as long as you play decent postflop. But only 3K hands, so....
Can someone slap me straight and tell me it's variance plz?
