Furthermore, Pokerbob and the Matt Hughes looking guy to his right were good players... but to call anyone that plays 30-60 and below "world-class" is a bit of a stretch.

you are making a horrible leap in logic here. just because the game is relatively small does not mean the players are not excellent. a friend and i discussed this last night, and came to the conclusion that the best 9 players from MN could probably torture just about any game in the country. at least 5 of them play 200/400+ in LA and win.

I actually think that might be true...

I wish I had the money to play 200-400... we could get a game going.

I guess I'm just trying to make this "leap of faith"... how do you build an adequete bank roll playing 30-60 to jump into the agro games at commerce that are 200-400???

I'm not here to piss on peoples bankrolls... but I think there is a lot more shenanigans going on than you are guys are willing to admit in that 30-60 game. Or maybe... it's due to these shenanigans that such huge bankrolls have been built... I don't know.

Maybe, because of the levels you can afford... you don't really care what's happening at the 30-60 game?

I know that if someone was cheating at my little $25 monday night game I have with co-workers... I might not catch it if someone was cheating cause the stakes don't really force me to bring my best game / skills of observation.
