This is not close. Survivorman is 10x more hardcore than Bear. Bear does some really retarded stuff that you should never do in a survival situation. Sure, it makes great TV, but floating in frigid water down a river for 4 hours is about the dumbest thing you could do. Plus, he has a full camera crew.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both... but there is an impending lawsuit against Discovery for someone following Bear's advice.
