Despite having so many to act after you I think you should have bet the flop. But I don't hate check/fold here either; normally top and bottom pair is worth a bet, but with six people to the flop the odds that someone hit the flop harder than you are also pretty good.
Turn is a fold. You most likely have two or four outs, so you don't have odds to call. I don't think you can hope to win unimproved with six people still in the hand at this point.
